Harbor updates
At adista, we apply two types of updates:
- Quarterly updates
- Security updates
Quarterly updates
You will be notified in advance of the update date. Generally, updates are applied on the 4th Thursday of the month, starting at 9:30 p.m. CET.
In order to provide the latest updates and fixes to your Harbor instance, we apply a quarterly update policy.
Harbor releases a new minor version approximately every six months. As soon as it becomes available, our team installs it internally, where it undergoes a series of tests. This period also allows us to integrate any fixes released in the meantime.
At the end of this validation phase, the minor version and any fixes released in the meantime are deployed to your platform during the scheduled maintenance window. This approach aims to limit the risks associated with the introduction of new features or undetected regressions.
Security Updates
When a security update is released, we conduct a thorough analysis of its potential impact on your infrastructure.
If our teams determine that your system is affected by a critical vulnerability, you will be notified immediately. In this case, we will schedule an exceptional update as soon as possible.
However, if we conclude that your system is not affected, our team will not contact you unnecessarily and your Harbor will be updated in accordance with our quarterly routine. The aim of this approach is to guarantee optimal availability and security for your platform.
